Alba Amoo-Gottfried is a shoot from the hip, take no nonsense filmmaker, traveller, giraffe fancier, movie lover and would be assassin. Born in London, corrupted in Accra. 

Writer by day, and audio-visual content producer, by night.

Alba graduated as a Film Editor from the Cuban Film School.  She freelanced for over 10 years as a scriptwriter, editor, and director for the acclaimed BBC World Services’ radio drama ‘Story Story,’ and television drama ‘Wetin Dey.’ She worked on MTV’s Shuga Season 4 as script supervisor and as 1st AD on Season 6.

She is an all-round filmmaker and has worked on several international and national productions in various positions as producer/director, writer, production manager and 1st AD. FABteen, a magazine style TV show for teen girls by teen girls, shown on GHOneTV, is her most recent project, as creator, producer and director.  

Alba is also a critically acclaimed author of ‘The Imported Ghanaian’ and ‘A Place of Beautiful Nonsense’.


Yaw Nuako Berko holds an MA in Screenwriting & Film Production from Westminster University (UK). He is a Senior Lecturer at the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) Ghana and the Creative Writing Academy (CWA). He has produced several video documentaries and commercials and is passionate about helping the youth acquire professional screenwriting and directing skills.
